The man arrested for a machete attack in Hing Hay Park Tuesday evening appeared in court Wednesday.

According to Seattle Police, the man had slashed two people in the park with a machete before being taken into custody.

SPD says the two victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries. According to the Seattle Fire Department, one of the victims was a 48-year-old man who was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The King County Prosecutor’s Office tells KIRO 7 it has not yet received SPD’s charge recommendations but expects to shortly.
