Man arrested after anonymous tip uncovers marijuana grow operation

BELLEVUE, Wash. — A 44-year-old man was arrested after an anonymous tip led to a lengthy investigation and the uncovering of a large-scale marijuana grow operation at a Bellevue home.

Bellevue police said detectives teamed up with Washington State Patrol and the State Department of Ecology and served a warrant at the Overlake home on Wednesday.

The suspect was arrested at his door, officials said.

“Approximately 340 pounds of marijuana was destroyed,” according to a news release from police.

Detectives said they searched the home and recovered more than 300 marijuana plants. The plants were reportedly in various stages of development.
