Light rail blocked at Mount Baker Station after SUV drives on tracks

SEATTLE — Sound Transit says light rail service has resumed for 1 and 2-line trains between the Othello and Sodo Stations after a vehicle blocked the tracks on Tuesday night.

An alert was first sent out at around 6:15 p.m. saying that service was blocked at the Mount Baker stop.

The Seattle Fire Department says the driver was a 70-year-old woman who was able to get out on her own. Responders brought her to Swedish Cherry Hill in stable condition.

It’s not clear how she managed to drive onto the tracks.

This is a developing story.
