Last call for Revel: Seattle diners have until Dec. 20 before doors close

SEATTLE — Fans of Fremont’s Revel have until Dec. 20 to dine one last time. The Korean-inspired restaurant has been serving Seattle customers for 16 years.

In a heartfelt social media post on Monday, the restaurant invited guests back to enjoy a menu filled with old classics such as corned lamb salad and Dungeness crab noodles before doors close for the last time.

“We know restaurant closures are often framed as sad endings. And to be completely honest, it truly is devastating. When a restaurant is born, it lives inside your own hands, your own recipes, and the raw energy you pour into every single shift,” the social media post stated. “Letting go of that isn’t just closing a business — it feels like watching a child you birthed and raised, going away forever.”

The Facebook post drew several comments from people sharing memories and expressing respect for the cuisine and experience Revel provided.

The chef behind the menu

Chef Rachel Yang is known for serving inventive food at Revel, according to the restaurant’s website. The contemporary dining space has an open-kitchen concept with a 26-foot maple butcher block counter.

Revel is part of Yang’s and Seif Chirchi’s Relay Restaurant Group, which also operates the Korean-fusion steakhouse Joule, The Puget Sound Business Journal reported. The two mentioned on social media that a new project is following Revel in the “near future,” but Yang and Chirchi did not elaborate further.

Where and when to go

For customers looking to enjoy Revel’s culture, food, and atmosphere one last time before Dec. 20, the restaurant is located at 401 N 36th St. in Fremont.
