Passenger in car fatally shot in Auburn by suspects in second vehicle; 2 arrested

AUBURN, Wash. — A man in his 20s was shot and killed by suspects in a busy Auburn intersection Tuesday morning.

Two people have been arrested.

At 9:32 a.m., Auburn Police officers were called to reports of shots fired at the intersection of Fourth Street Southeast and Auburn Way South.

He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, a vehicle pulled up next to the victim’s car and shots were fired. The victim was in the passenger’s seat when he was shot.

On Wednesday, Auburn police said two juveniles, a male and a female, were arrested in Oregon with help from Gresham Police.

The vehicle involved in the shooting was recovered.

Police said they are working to extradite the two suspects back to Washington.
