SEATTLE — One of the oldest safe places for LGBTQ youth in the country may be forced to move.

The Lambert House on 15th and Denny in Seattle's Capitol Hill has helped thousands of teens over the last 35 years.

The owner of the property is putting the land up for sale.

Director Ken Shulman says the house has been offered a lease through the end of the year.

There are two options to save the house: buy the land or find a new home, which would need significant sums of money.

A public campaign was started last week which has raised $20,000.
