Lakewood police conducting holiday emphasis patrols on shoplifters

LAKEWOOD, Wash. — During December, Lakewood police will be conducting emphasis patrols in and around the Lakewood Towne Center to prevent shoplifting.

“There will be zero tolerance on all shoplifting incidents and offenders will be booked into jail,” police tweeted.

At 6 p.m. Sunday, police standing in front of Ross said they saw a shoplifting suspect exit the store with “stolen merchandise.”

Police said he had $85 worth of goods in his possession.

Officers greeted the man and arrested him for shoplifting.

The suspect was booked into jail.
