Safeway store evacuated after suspicious device found outside

SHORELINE, Wash. — A Safeway in Shoreline was evacuated after a suspicious device was found outside the store.

Officers were called to the area of North 155th Street and Aurora Avenue North after the device was found around 3:30 p.m.

King County deputies said they cleared the area out of an abundance of caution.

There were no injuries.

Bomb technicians were also called to the store, secured the device and said everything was safe after inspecting the device.
