The eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 are back open near the Snoqualmie Pass summit, but drivers are still required to have chains on.
I-90 westbound remains closed near Easton to clear multiple crashes, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
“Winter decided to show up a little later than expected. Unfortunately, that may have caught drivers off guard,” WSDOT shared online.
Troopers with Washington State Patrol say several semi trucks are involved in the spinouts.
No word on how long this closure will last.
