SEATTLE — Seattle police detectives are investigating a suspected homicide in the Georgetown neighborhood.
At about 11:30 a.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a body in a tent encampment on South Bailey Street.
The Seattle Fire Department arrived and pronounced the person dead.
Officers cordoned off the area until detectives with the Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation Units arrived to process the scene. The King County Medical Examiner will take custody of the body and determine the cause and manner of death.
The circumstances are under investigation. There is no suspect information at this time and police did not make any arrests.
