SEATTLE — Detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a skateboarder in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood this morning.
A witness called 911 at around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, telling police that they had watched a driver hit the skateboarder while heading westbound on Harrison Street, before driving off northbound on 8th Avenue.
According to SPD, the vehicle was described as a red, newer model Acura sedan.
Seattle Fire Department medics took the victim, a 20-year-old man, to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad are investigating and ask that anyone with information, including video footage, call the Seattle Police Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.
