High-priced sports car ends up under guardrail after Tacoma hit-and-run crash

TACOMA, Wash. — The driver in a hit-and-run crash in Tacoma left an extremely pricey sports car behind.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Robert Reyer tweeted photos from the crash at 11:47 p.m. on Monday.

The 2020 McLaren 600LT ended up under a guardrail on eastbound State Route 512 to Portland Avenue.

According to Car and Driver, the price of a new 600LT started at $259,000 in 2020.

It is not known if anyone was hurt since the driver left the scene before troopers arrived.

The convertible “supercar” has a V-8 engine with 592 horsepower that can launch it from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds.
