Gunman at large after Auburn shooting

AUBURN, Wash. — Police are looking for a gunman in Auburn after a shooting that killed one person.

A 17-year-old was found wounded inside a car at 24th and F streets Friday morning. Police and medics tried to revive him but could not. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are searching for the man responsible.

Multiple bullet casings were found on the street.

At least two teenagers were seen talking with officers before they were let go. Auburn police said in a news release that they believe the shooting is related to gang activity.

Police say as a precaution, nearby Olympic Middle, Pioneer Elementary, and Terminal Park Elementary schools were locked down.  All lockdowns have since been lifted.

Officer say the public is not in danger.
