Fremont Fair and Solstice Parade returns to Seattle this weekend

SEATTLE — The Fremont Fair and Solstice Parade are returning to Seattle this weekend after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

The 32nd annual parade is on Saturday, June 18 at 2 p.m. It starts at Third Avenue and Leary Way, continues along 36th Street, takes a right on North Evanston Avenue, then loops back westbound on 35th Street, where it ends at the Fremont Fair.

More than 60 community-based entries include floats, giant puppets, stilt walkers, dancers and musicians.

The Fremont Fair features more than 300 craft vendors, two stages of live music with local bands, a beer garden, fair food, dog parade, buskers and of course, the one-of-a-kind Seattle Art Cars.

And don’t forget the naked, but usually painted, cyclists.

The fair is on Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sunday, June 19, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
