SEATTLE — A construction worker who was injured on a high-rise had to be rescued by firefighters.
Firefighters were called to the building in the 1000 block of Stewart Street in downtown Seattle at about 10:35 a.m. Monday.
The man was struck by a 14-inch pipe.
The victim has head and neck injuries but is alert and conscious.
A Seattle fire high angle rescue team lowered the man down an elevator shaft.
Firefighters said his injuries are non-life-threatening.
