SEATTLE, Wash. — After a foot of snow at Paradise and a couple inches at Snoqualmie Pass, the more active weather will be winding down somewhat into Thursday.
However, some showers of rain will still be likely tonight and Thursday. There could still be some ice pellets in any heavier showers.
In the mountains, we could get another couple inches of snow in the passes, but this will be hit and miss through Thursday.
It will stay cool, though, with showers rotating around the area of low pressure parked offshore. This will remain a pesky part of the forecast picture even into the end of the work week and the first part of the weekend. However, it will be weakening all the time.
Morning lows will be in the 30s and low 40s, with highs in the low 50s in the lowlands Thursday and Friday. The bulk of the precipitation will become confined to the coast more and more all the time.
But, even on Friday afternoon, there could be a stray shower of rain in the lowlands of Puget Sound.
That takes us to Halloween, and while we could have a few showers in the first part of the day, the better shot at lingering rain showers by afternoon and evening (for trick-or-treating) will be across the Olympic Peninsula and the coast.
However, we still cannot say all locations inland will be completely dry, but the trend is positive for a dry time for the kids along and east of Puget Sound. Stay tuned.
It looks partly sunny Sunday through early next week, but with morning fog more likely. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s. The Monday Night Football game in Seattle will likely be dry, but chilly, with temperatures falling quickly after dark into the 40s.
