Ferry back in service after log truck lost its load at Edmonds terminal

EDMONDS, Wash. — The Edmonds/Kingston ferry route is back in service after a log truck lost its load Monday morning.

The truck was leaving the ferry Spokane at the Edmonds terminal when it lost its load of logs on the ferry dock ramp.

The Spokane has been stuck at the terminal since around 10:45 a.m.

A safety inspection is needed before vehicles will be allowed to offload and service on the Kingston route can resume, WSF said.

Equipment was brought in remove the logs from the ramp, and Washington State Ferries said the final log was removed at 1:30 p.m.

At 2:18 p.m., Washington State Ferries said the route was back in service.
