Family pleads for help finding Tacoma teen who’s been missing for 5 weeks

TACOMA, Wash. — This story was originally published on MyNorthwest.com.

A 17-year-old girl from Tacoma has been missing for five weeks now, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is asking for the public’s help to bring her home.

The missing person, Samantha Ellison, went missing from her home in Tacoma on Feb. 22. She is 5 feet, 1 inch tall, and weighs approximately 110 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair, and can be seen in the photos above.

“Authorities believe that Samantha may stay in the local area or may travel out of state,” NCMEC stated.

Samantha’s mother is extremely worried for her daughter’s safety, sharing with NCMEC that this is very out of character for Samantha and that she has never gone missing before.

“Samantha, your family loves and misses you so much,” her mother said. “We want you to come home and hope that you are safe.”
