Original story:

On Friday, the King County Sheriff’s Office said detectives with the Major Crimes Unit now have new developments in the case and believe it’s suspicious.

A 28-year-old man with special needs who lives in the Skyway area is missing.

They’re asking for the public’s help with any information.

Mark N. Anthony was last seen on Oct. 30th. His parents said he was waiting for a ride to go to a Halloween party.

It’s not clear if he got in someone’s car, but his parents said they haven’t heard from Mark since.

KIRO7 found a video of Mark on Facebook. “I just want to wish all the mothers out there a happy Mother’s Day,” he said.

“That’s my beautiful boy and I miss him,” said Georgia Anthony, his mother.

“He’s never disappeared before,” she said.

His parents said they talked with their son every day, sometimes twice a day, and this is the first time they haven't been able to get hold of him.

“It means something is really wrong,” Georgia said.

“The waiting is – it really hurts,” said David Anthony, Mark’s father.

His parents said he lives alone at the Creston Point Apartments at 134th Street and Martin Luther King Junior Way South

They said that, because he has a disability, people can easily take advantage of him.

“He’s mentally disabled. He can't count money so people can give him back the wrong change or whatever. He's got a speech problem. He doesn't finish his sentences,” Georgia said.

Today, the Sheriff’s Office said that, because of new developments, major crimes detectives are “very concerned" and think this may be more than a missing person case.

They're now calling Mark’s disappearance suspicious but aren't releasing anymore details about why at this time.

“It’s not hard to think of the worst, that he might not come back. And I don't know if I can live without my son, the youngest one. He's the baby. Id be so devastated if anything happened to him,” David said.

Investigators and the Anthonys are asking for your help

“If anybody knows where he's at, please, say something,” Georgia said. “Somebody, somebody has to,” she said.

Investigators don’t know who gave, or was supposed to give, Mark a ride.

The flyer the Sheriff’s Office put out says:

"The circumstances surrounding Mark’s disappearance is concerning to Law Enforcement. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mark Anthony is urged to call 911 or the King County Sheriff’s Office at 206-296-3311."
