EVERETT, Wash. — A lengthy standoff in Everett finally ended overnight between Wednesday and Thursday.
Police were in Everett for what was described as an active SWAT situation with a man who fired at officers Wednesday afternoon.
Just after noon, officers responded to reports of a man firing a gun from his porch in the 11100 block of Paine Field Way.
Officers returned fire and the man ran back into his house.
When officers arrived, a man came out of his home and fired at officers.
What ensued was an hours-long standoff, which ended with officers using tear gas.
No officers were injured and it is unknown if the man was injured.
