Everett police arrest attempted robbery, stolen vehicle suspect

EVERETT, Wash. — Everett police arrested a man yesterday morning, Sept. 9, for attempting to rob a convenience store and stealing a car.

According to an Everett Police Department post on Facebook, the attempted robbery happened at 8:19 a.m. at a store near the 800 block of N Broadway.

Police were sent to the store after an employee reported the attempted robbery.

According to the Everett Police Department, the man came into the store with a weapon and asked them to give him “the cash,” and that if they did not, that he would “kill” the employee.

After the attempted robbery, the suspect took off in a car, according to Everett police.

The employee then gave police the suspect’s license plate. Everett then realized it was a stolen car and found the car near the area with the suspect still inside, according to Everett police.

The suspect, a man reportedly in his “30s” was found just four minutes after police arrived at the scene, according to Everett police.

He was arrested for attempted robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into Snohomish County Jail.
