EVERETT, Wash. — The Everett Fire Department sprang into action Monday night, Sept. 28, to help a pregnant Chihuahua.
Lilly the Chihuahua was brought to Everett Fire Station 1 by her owner needing some assistance, as she was going into labor, according to the Everett Fire Department.
The Ladder 1 team immediately rushed in to help and delivered two Chihuahua puppies.
“We’re happy to report that mama Lilly and her new little ones are doing well,” the Everett Fire Department wrote on Facebook. “Kudos to the Ladder 1 crew, who traded firefighter for “fur-st responder” and can now add “puppy delivery” to their résumés."
