ARLINGTON, Wash. — Another mass vaccination site has opened in Washington, this time in Snohomish County.
The site in Arlington is the fifth mass vaccination site in the state. The others are in Kennewick, Ridgefield, Spokane and Wenatchee.
People started being vaccinated at the Arlington Municipal Airport on Friday.
Like the other Snohomish County Vaccine Taskforce sites, the Arlington location is by appointment for only those who live and work in Snohomish County, and for those who are eligible in the current phase.
The Snohomish Health District said hundreds of vaccines can be given there each day and weekend appointments to get vaccinated are expected to open for registration soon.
Appointments for all of the Snohomish County Vaccine Taskforce sites have been filling up quickly as there is still much higher demand for the vaccine than doses available.

The first Snohomish County Vaccine Taskforce drive-through site opened Jan. 6, and since then, more than 15,000 vaccinations have been given at the sites.
