In a press release Monday, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said it is looking for a man wanted for felony domestic violence who fled arrest on South Bay View Avenue earlier that afternoon.
According to the office, deputies responded to a domestic violence call shortly after 2:30 pm Monday. The report the office received said that a man identified as 30-year-old Port Angeles resident Aaron J. Hatfield assaulted the person who had called the police, damaged a security camera with an axe, and broke a cell phone.
Hatfield then reportedly fled into a wooded area armed with a knife.
According to the office, while deputies searched the area, they were unable to locate the suspect. The office said that Hatfield remains wanted and that anyone who sees him should not approach him and should instead call 911.
