SEATTLE — A construction worker was rescued Tuesday afternoon after being stuck upside down in a hole, officials said.
Firefighters responded to the site in the 2300 block of 7th Avenue around 12:10 p.m. for reports of a worker trapped in a hole.

Rescuers conducted a rope rescue to remove the worker, who was stuck between a drilling device and the side of the hole. Medics were present to assess the worker's condition.
7th Avenue between Denny Way and Bell Street was closed during the rescue.
