SEATTLE, Wash. — The week ahead is looking pretty good here in Western Washington!
For the balance of this evening, our skies will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy at times and temperatures will drop back into the low 50s by Tuesday morning, Sept. 15.
A cloudy start to the day is forecast for Tuesday as a weak weather disturbance moves over the area. This weather disturbance tomorrow could produce a few isolated showers or drizzle around the islands and areas north of Seattle. Some showers or drizzle around the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Olympic mountains could pop up, as well.
Temperatures will be held back into the 60s for one more day on Tuesday, but hang in there! 70s are on the way back starting on Wednesday, Sept. 16. High pressure will build in across Western Washington, and it looks like the influence of high-pressure will give us mostly sunny days right on through the weekend.
Chances for rain drop well below 10% for the rest of the week and into the weekend. Temperatures will easily hit the mid to upper 70s by Thursday afternoon, Sept. 17.
Rainfall from the weekend was over a half an inch at SeaTac Airport and over an inch in some central and mountain locations across the state.
The extended outlook calls for more rain next week, but the rest of this week looks mainly dry.
