SEATTLE — A 4-year-old boy was struck by a falling tree branch in West Seattle Friday afternoon and seriously injured.

The boy's father also suffered minor injuries. Seattle fire officials say the incident occurred in the 9100 block of California Avenue SW.
On Friday evening, the child was still in serious condition at Harborview Medical Center.
