Carjacking suspect arrested after pursuit

BURIEN, Wash. — A carjacking suspect was arrested Tuesday night after a chase in Burien, deputies said.

At about 8 p.m., a deputy came across the incident in progress.

According to deputies, a man pulled a woman out of a Honda Odyssey in the middle of the road. The woman was treated but didn’t have any physical injuries.

The deputy started running towards the car but the man drove off.

Authorities chased the vehicle through White Center and then down to Burien, where the stolen vehicle collided with a Tahoe at 136th and 4th Avenue Southwest.

The driver of the Tahoe had minor injuries.

The carjacking suspect was taken into custody and booked into the King County Jail for eluding, felony theft and assault charges.
