SEATTLE — Four Puget Sound residents celebrated a major milestone Friday.
They graduated from Canine Companions with their newly matched service and facility dogs during a special graduation ceremony at the organization’s Puget Sound Field Office in Seattle’s SODO neighborhood.
For individuals with disabilities, Canine Companions service dogs can help increase independence by performing tasks such as picking up dropped items, turning lights on and off, opening doors and drawers, and more.
Canine Companions provides expertly trained service dogs to adults, children, and veterans with disabilities at no cost to the recipient.
