SEATTLE, Wash. — Businesses in the 5400 block of Ballard Ave NW are evacuating Saturday morning as the Seattle Fire Department sends a hazmat team to investigate alerts of high amounts of carbon dioxide in a building.
Shortly before noon, the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) said crews detected “dangerous levels” of carbon dioxide and are ventilating the building.
Shortly before 12:30 p.m., SFD determined the air was safe and reopened the building.
