She had fallen about 50 feet and was trapped by debris collapsing over the opening of the well.
While deputies and firefighters worked to free the woman, two of her brothers, a 56-year-old from Winlock, and a 59-year-old from Malone, were at the scene.
Police said older brother was asked to leave because he was disrupting the rescue efforts and arguing with his brother. He left and did not return while the aid crew or deputies were on the property.
The woman was retrieved from the well and transported to the hospital.
At about 6:30 p.m., the 59-year-old brother returned to the home, armed with a handgun.
According to witnesses, he shot his younger brother multiple times and then turned the handgun on himself.
Both brothers died from their injuries. Identification of the men will be made by the Lewis County Coroner.
