SEATTLE — A box truck that broke through a guardrail on East Boston Street on Saturday afternoon and was partially hanging over northbound I-5 in Seattle has been removed.

Seattle police said the driver of the box truck was traveling east along East Boston Street and for some unknown reason, the truck began rolling back down the hill.

The rear of the truck crashed through the guardrail before 3 p.m. All of its tires remained on the road.

The two right lanes of northbound I-5 just south of State Route 520 were shut down, as well as East Boston Street at Harvard Avenue East, but were eventually reopened.

No one was injured.

The incident caused traffic delays as crews worked to get the truck towed away.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
