EVERETT, Wash. — Four people and a dog were rescued after their boat caught on fire at the Everett Marnina fuel dock Friday.
It happened around 10 a.m.
The Everett Fire Department says two people were evaluated for smoke inhalation.
The 32-foot boat was full of 300 gallons of fuel at the time of the fire.
The department says there was no apparent fuel leak or spill, but the Department of Ecology and Coast Guard are headed there to check it out.
The fire did cause some damage to the fuel dock. The Port of Everett has closed it until further notice.
People are asked to avoid the area for the time being.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
