BELLEVUE, Wash. — A 22-year-old Bellevue man was arrested last week after three three woman alleged a host of sex offenses, Bellevue Police said.
Dariel De Los Santos is charged with rape of a child in the third degree, unlawful imprisonment and indecent liberties.
All three victims, including a 14-year-old girl, knew Santos because he worked at Jubilee REACH, an Eastside nonprofit involved in the local schools. De Los Santos quit the nonprofit organization two years ago.
The 14-year-old girl spoke to police on May 19, saying she knew De Los Santos from middle school. She told police he kept in touch with her after she left the school.
According to court documents, De Los Santos took the girl to his home and sexually assaulted her on April 16.
Court documents say two other victims, former co-workers of De Los Santos, were assaulted in May.
Police said a 22-year-old woman said she visited De Los Santos at his house so that he could help her register for classes.
De Los Santos allegedly cornered the woman in a bedroom, grabbing her and refusing to let her go.
Court documents say the woman managed to escape and was convinced De Los Santos wanted to have sex with her.
A 21-year-old woman told police she was invited to De Los Santos' house to watch a movie. The woman said De Los Santos kissed her, got on top of her, groped her and exposed his penis to her.
The woman could not escape, but De Los Santos eventually let her go, court documents say.
Bellevue police are investigating. Authorities ask that any additional victims contact them to provide investigators with information that may help in their investigation.
A second suspect was charged this week in an unrelated situation. Jubilee REACH, a faith-based group that provides after-school programs in Bellevue schools, released the following statement Thursday.
In mid-May of this year, Jubilee REACH learned that a former employee, Dariel de los Santos, was being investigated in connection with criminal conduct alleged to have occurred earlier this year, two years after he left our employ. Then, on May 31st we learned of an investigation of allegations that a then-current employee, Jonathan George, had engaged in inappropriate communication with a minor. His employment was subsequently terminated. The cases are completely unrelated to one another.
In both cases charges have been filed by the King County Prosecuting Attorney. In both cases, Jubilee REACH has fully cooperated with the official investigations that were conducted by the Bellevue Police Department.
The safety and well-being of the youth we serve is our highest priority. We have screening, background checks and training processes in place for this reason and both of the accused individuals passed the screening process.
