WASHINGTON — After a sunny day today with a high in the mid 70s, we will cool back to the lower 50s tonight and chilly upper 40s in some of our cooler locations around the area.
An offshore breeze should develop and tomorrow morning will be mainly fog-free across the area. This offshore breeze on Thursday will help us warm up again to the mid and upper 70s.
There will probably be some 80 degree readings in the Chehalis Valley and at a few of our foothill locations. East/Northeast wind usually helps us warm up nicely when the sun is out!
If you are enjoying this sunny weather, there should be plentiful sunshine for you again tomorrow.
Record high temperatures for this time of year are in the 90s, so we’re not going to be setting any new records, but it will be another very enjoyable weather day tomorrow.
Subtle changes will work back into the weather pattern by Friday with onshore breezes developing and pushing low clouds over the area in the morning.
In the afternoon, partly cloudy skies will return. This pattern will drop our high temperatures back to the lower 70s for daytime highs and we shouldn’t see any more 80 degree weather with that onshore breeze in place.
Looking into the weekend the nice weather should continue Saturday and Sunday. Morning clouds each day will give way to afternoon sunshine and the high will be around 70 both days.
Computer models are keeping things dry for us for the next several days. Very little, if any, rain is expected right on through next week.
Long-range outlook shows some weak weather disturbances next week, but it certainly does not look like a wet pattern is going to come back anytime soon. And the chance of 80-degree weather continues to drop with each passing day.
