Amtrak train catches fire at SoDo rail yard

SEATTLE — An Amtrak train caught fire in a SoDo yard rail Friday morning.

The Amtrak rail yard is on South Holgate Street at Third Avenue South in Seattle.

All westbound lanes of Holgate were blocked for the fire response but have since reopened.

The fire is now out.  No one was inside the train when the fire broke out, and no one was hurt.

According to Seattle Fire, the flames started inside a compartment  just before 4 a.m. as the train was being refueled.
