Amber Alert canceled for 14-year-old girl out of Chelan County

CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. — Update: The Amber Alert issued for 14-year-old Rebecca Basil out of Chelan County has been canceled.

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said the stolen vehicle had been found in the Lake Chelan area but the victim and suspects had not been found.

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office reported Rebecca Basil and her 9-year-old sibling took their parents’ 2015 Subaru Legacy on Tuesday without them knowing and drove to Malott, Washington, on Wednesday.

An unknown man and woman joined them, authorities said.

The 9-year-old was dropped off back at 5 p.m. in Chelan, but Basil was still with the man and woman.

Deputies said it is not known where they were headed, but Spokane was mentioned.

Basil is described as American Indian, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. She has brown eyes, black hair and was last seen wearing a dark green Carhart hoodie with light blue jeans with holes.

The Subaru Legacy with license plate BJU3169 was found Wednesday night in the Lake Chelan area. However, Rebecca Basil and the two adults are still missing.
