EVERETT, Wash. — Amazon is holding a special hiring event in Everett Friday and in Auburn Saturday for the holiday shopping rush.
They need the workers to process the millions of shopping orders this holiday season at two fulfillment centers in the Puget Sound area in DuPont and in Kent.
The company is planning to hire thousands of workers in Washington and 120,000 seasonal employees across the country at its fulfillment and sorting centers and customer service sites.
Saturday's event is at Green River Community College in Auburn. It also runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday’s event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hampton Inn Everett, 2931 W. Marine View Drive, in Everett.
Last year, more than 14,000 seasonal jobs were transitioned to regular full time jobs after the holiday season. The company said it expects to increase that number this year.
Applicants will need to bring photo ID.
