WENATCHEE, Wash. — An 86-year-old who was reported missing out of Wenatachee over the weekend has been found dead.
According to an alert issued by Washington State Patrol, Carl Pruitt was last seen in the morning of Aug. 15 heading to the north end of Wenatchee.
Just over a day later, his truck was seen on Northbound Horse Lake Road, but Pruitt wasn’t inside.
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office began a search of the area near his vehicle. About a third of a mile away from the truck, a body was found.
The county coroner’s office determined that the body was found 86-year-old Pruitt.
Detectives do not believe foul play was involved.
The investigation is ongoing, and the medical examiner will determine the cause and means of death.
