4 units damaged in Kirkland apartment fire

KIRKLAND, Wash. — Investigators in Kirkland are working the scene of an apartment fire.

At 3:42 a.m. on Friday, Kirkland officers who were driving by the building in the 800 block of Market Street saw the fire and evacuated the building.

Crews from Bellevue, Kirkland, Bothell and Redmond responded.

Of the four units damaged, one is uninhabitable.

Firefighters said the blaze started on the outside of the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
