EVERETT, Wash. — Four Everett police officers are in the hospital being treated for minor injuries after tracking down a stolen semi-truck.
Just before 6:30 a.m., someone called 911 to report that his truck was stolen from the Safeway on Broadway.
A Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted the truck getting onto Southbound I-5 and followed it.
The truck exited at the 112th Park and Ride, where the driver headed into the Silver Lake area.
When deputies attempted to stop the truck near Silver Lake Road and 118th Pl SE, law enforcement says the driver started ramming patrol cars.
An Everett officer was in the area on an unrelated call when his car was hit by the semi. He was inside of it at the time.
Multiple Everett officers responded to help.
According to police, the driver of the stolen semi continued to hit cars as he tried to escape.
The truck came to rest on A. Sater Road.
