SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. — A man was killed in a car crash on westbound Interstate 90 near Snoqualmie Pass on Friday evening, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers say the collision happened just before 6 p.m. at milepost 52.
A driver was reportedly speeding and following the car in front of them too closely when they hit them.
The driver of that car, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.
The speeding car got stuck, but then dislodged and veered off the road before it struck a tree.
The driver of the other car was not injured.
The roadway was blocked for about an hour while troopers investigated.
