RENTON, Wash. — A wanted felon was shot by police after firing shots at officers, and a baby who may be connected to the suspect was taken from the crime scene, investigators said.
The suspect, a 37-year-old man, was the subject of a police operation Wednesday afternoon in the 12800 block of 163rd Avenue Southeast in Renton.
Chopper 7 was overhead Wednesday when police gave the child to the woman. She was being consoled by others on scene.
No one was hurt other than the suspect. Multiple agencies including Seattle police and the Department of Corrections responded to the call.
The man who was shot was taken to Harborview Medical Center. His condition was not released.
