Kurt Cobain's sweater sells for $140,800

Kurt Cobain’s sweater from Nirvana’s “MTV Unplugged” taping sold today – for a mere $140,800.

The sweater was one of the hundreds of items being auctioned by Julien’s Live, an auction company in California.

The sweater was obtained from a friend of the Cobain family, Julien’s Live says.

The company also sold John Lennon's original 1962 J-160E Gibson Acoustic guitar – for a mere $2,410,000.

The MTV Unplugged concert was recorded in New York City four months before Cobain committed suicide.
