Police are investigating and searching for a man after neighbors said he attacked several people in their Pacific, Washington neighborhood and threatened children on Monday.

The attack happened off South A Street.

Dennis Martin told KIRO 7 how the man jumped in front of his truck right before he was attacked.

"So I had to stop or I would have hit him," Martin said. "He yanked my door open and yanked me out of the truck."

Martin's wife Pamela Gillett witnessed the man attack him.

"Well, I heard screaming, that's why I went to the window," Gillett said. "It's terrifying."

Neighbor Patricia Edwards said the man allegedly threatened children in the neighborhood.

"I was scared for my son, my neighbors, my grandkids," she said.

Robert Edwards jumped in to help after he said the man threatened his kids and beat his neighbor.

"I intervened and he tried to hit me with the skateboard," Edwards said. "So I told him to put the skateboard down and fight like a man."

The man got away before police arrived and they are searching for him.
