SEATTLE — According to charging documents, 57-year-old Greg Weldon Phillips was arrested at his home after Homeland Security investigators found a large amount of child pornography on his computers and cameras.
Investigators said Phillips also took hundreds of pictures of young girls in bathing suits at the International Fountain at Seattle Center.
According to investigators, Phillips mixed those photos in as he sent and received child porn images with people in Springfield, Illinois and Indianapolis, Indiana. Authorities started their investigation there and followed the trail back to Seattle.
Investigators then found Phillips had emailed advice to people who wanted to groom and exploit children as young as 5 years old. They said Phillips wrote it was his dream to do that to himself.
Phillips was charged with possession, distribution and receiving child pornography.
