An inmate at Pierce County Jail escaped on Saturday evening from the prison’s custody.
Richard Robinson, a trustee, escaped from the kitchen area as trash was being taken out by prison workers.
Robinson fled the kitchen and jumped a fence to escape at around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Robinson was being held on two counts of burglary, three counts of theft of a firearm, and two counts of trafficking stolen property.
Police say he is still being sought.
Richard Reginald Robinson is white, 31-years-old, 5’7’’, 180 pounds and has light brown hair, hazel-colored eyes and several tattoos.
One of Robinson’s tattoos reads "Made in Tacoma" across the chest, another says "Robinson" around his upper right arm, and images of a grim reaper and a Tasmanian devil adorn his left forearm.
