Historic Olympia restaurant to reopen

A year after it burned down, Olympia's historic Oyster House restaurant is set to reopen next week.

The owners have worked to recreate the historic feel of the place, and the food will be familiar as well, The Olympian reported.

The Oyster House caught fire during last year's Capital Lakefair, the annual summer festival downtown and along Olympia's waterfront. It is scheduled to reopen July 20, though that date may change.

The Olympia Fire Department says the fire destroyed most of the building, causing $1.2 million in damages.
