SEATTLE — Nothing hazardous was detected in an envelope containing white powder that was found at a Wells Fargo bank branch in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood on Friday, the Seattle Fire Department said.

Officials characterized the situation as a "non-event."

Chopper 7, over the scene, showed numerous fire department vehicles.  The sidewalk outside the bank was marked off with yellow tape.

Northwest Market Street was closed in both directions between Tallman Avenue Northwest and Barnes Avenue Northwest.

MyBallard.com reported bank employees were being allowed back inside and the street would be open soon.
