TACOMA, Wash. — "She's very upset," said Powell's defense attorney Wayne Fricke. "I think more in herself (and) obviously in what occurred several months ago."
Powell was arrested in February after comments she made in front of students sparked an investigation by Tacoma Public Schools. She confessed under questioning by police.
